Sufeira is a short text and display typeface created for print purposes.

Sufeira was created to allow reading through the names of emperors, kings and goddesses with their myths that are very hard to read. A wide and low contrast typeface allows the visitor to process rich legends more readily and savor the historic journey.

Exists in Regular, Italic and Humanist Sans Serif.

Process & Application

The endings of the letters capture the wedge-shaped cuneiform writing on a clay tablet from the Museum of Beirut.

An examination of Arrighi’s Medici Missal manuscript written in the 16th century was a reference for the lowercase proportions and Bartolomeo San Vito’s Chronicle of Eusebius for the uppercase.

Typeface still in progress not used in the actual museum.
